- Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
Some children require critical and intensive care after surgery. Our 42-bed PICU provides highly specialized care for critically ill children. Monroe Carell is a major referral center for various pediatric subspecialties including trauma, organ transplantation and burns. Our doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists and other team members care for children of all ages needing special medical attention. We also provide case managers, child life specialists and other support staff to help during your visit.
