I just wished he was more detailed about the process of my diagnosis. I've been dealing with symptoms of this diagnosis for over 10 years and it's recently progressed severally to neck pain and headaches. They mentioned when doing the exam that they were losing the pulse in my right arm and he didn't want to do any further testing. I know after 10 years of coming and going pain, I've recently just received a diagnosis but I wished he seemed more sympathetic. Instead I felt like it was kind of rushed and really no solutions were given other than the usual ibuprofen, lidocaine patches, the usual things that I've already been doing. Then told me to go to physical therapy for 6-8 weeks when it's already apparent that it's gotten so bad to the point I can barely even move my right shoulder and arm. I understand that it's a process and we have to go through and try different things first before surgery is considered I just wished he would've been a little more detailed about what to expect because I felt like I was left in the dark. He stated that if the therapy doesn't work then we would meet again, okay we meet again but then what's next? Will there be testing done? I just wished I felt like I was taken seriously. After years of no one believing you about your symptoms and putting you off, you finally get to a place where you think they would help but you still feel left in the dark.
