Volunteering at Monroe Carell
Thank you for your interest in joining our team of volunteers. Please carefully read our Monroe Carell Volunteering FAQ and the guidelines of the program for which you are applying (linked below) to ensure that volunteering at Monroe Carell is right for you at this time.
Applications will be posted during the time frames listed below for each program. Applications may close early depending on how many applications we receive, so apply as soon as possible within the application window.
Adult Program
Applications for the adult program are now closed. The next application window will open in January.
Interviews
Thursday, August 1; and Monday, August 5, 5 to 8 p.m. Availability to attend a group interview session is required.
Eligibility
New adult volunteers must be at least age 18 and not enrolled in undergraduate college courses. The initial minimum commitment is 50 volunteer hours, which equals about six months of weekly volunteering.
Undergraduate College Program
Due to a large volume of applications, the window for the undergraduate program is now closed.
Interviews
Thursday, September 19; and Monday, September 23, 5 to 8 p.m. Availability to attend a group interview session is required.
Eligibility
New volunteers must be available for our initial minimum commitment of two consecutive semesters/periods, including summer. If you aren't able to make this commitment, we ask that you wait to apply.
Short-Term Summer College (Undergraduate) Program
The short-term summer college program will not take place during summer 2024 but will resume in 2025. Check here for updates on specific application dates and interview sessions.
Eligibility
This program is for undergraduate college students with local permanent addresses but who attend college outside Middle Tennessee.
We requires an initial minimum commitment of 25 volunteer hours during the summer (May through August). Volunteers in this program will be scheduled for at least one shift per week at the same day and time.
STriVe Summer Teen Volunteer Program
The STriVe program for teen volunteers will not take place during summer 2024 but will resume in 2025. Check here for updates on specific application dates and interview sessions.
