Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders

The Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders (FGID) Program at Monroe Carell provides outpatient care to children with recurrent abdominal pain and FGIDs such as irritable bowel syndrome, functional abdominal pain, functional dyspepsia and functional encopresis.

We educate your family about your child's disorder, provide individualized care a with a team approach, and help your child overcome FGID symptoms to achieve better health.

Our services include pain management, nutritional consultation, relaxation training, stress management, psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, biofeedback and acupuncture.
