Vanderbilt Children's Primary Care Smyrna
Your family's medical home
Vanderbilt Children's Primary Care Smyrna is committed to building ongoing relationships to address your children’s medical needs as they grow and develop to reach their maximum potential. Our goal is to keep your child well, thriving both in school and at home. We do this through comprehensive medical care from birth through adolescence during regular visits, whether sick or well. We offer same-day access linked to your child’s complete medical record to ensure continuity of care.
We strive to provide the highest quality care by using the most up-to-date, evidence-based scientific information and expertise available to us.
Patient-Centered Medical Home
Our clinic is a designated Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH). This team-based model of care is designed to continuously improve quality, efficiency, safety and patient satisfaction. PCMH certified clinics have met specific criteria set by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) and have demonstrated that they are providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
Monroe Carell is one of the largest and most prominent teaching hospitals in the nation. As such, our clinic fosters an ongoing learning and teaching environment that includes a care team of physicians, pediatric residents, nurse practitioners, nurses and students. They work together to ensure your child receives quality care. Together, and with direct clinician oversight, our residents offer their years of training in the latest health care advances to your child.
If you have an urgent question and our office is closed, you can still reach us by calling our clinic’s phone number. There is always nurse-on-call who can give advice or reach the physician-on-call.
We also have several after-hours clinics in middle Tennessee with later hours. Call us first before going to the emergency room unless your child has a life-threatening emergency.
