General Orthopaedics and Fracture Care Clinic
Vanderbilt Children’s Fracture Clinic in Murfreesboro is here to treat your child's bone fracture injury quickly and conveniently.
Your pediatrician, urgent care or emergency room is often your first stop when your child fractures a bone. If you need to follow up with a pediatric orthopaedic specialist, we're here for you. You may bring your child directly to the Vanderbilt Children’s Fracture Clinic without a referral. However, we ask that you call our scheduling team in advance to discuss the severity of the injury. In many cases, we can offer a same- or next-day appointment.
Please bring your child’s X-ray images from the emergency room or urgent care if possible. If your child has not had X-rays, we provide on-site imaging.
Fracture care appointments are available Mondays between 12:30 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Why Choose the General Orthopaedics and Fracture Care Clinic
- Expert care
Whether following up after your child’s fracture is stabilized at an urgent care or emergency room or coming in for an urgent orthopaedic visit following an injury, an orthopaedic physician specialized in sports and growth-plate injuries will evaluate and treat your child.
- Convenient care
Bone fractures are more common during weekend sports and play. That's why our Fracture Clinic is open Monday afternoons. Our goal is to streamline fracture care for your ease. During fracture clinic hours, our orthopaedists only treat fracture injuries. Cast technicians, imaging and support staff are dedicated solely to managing your child’s injury in a fast-paced environment, so you’ll spend less time away from work or school.
- Orthopaedic expertise
Other days of the week, our Children’s Hospital pediatric orthopaedic team is at our Murfreesboro location and can see your child during orthopaedic clinic hours.
- Rapid response
Most of the time, we are able to schedule your child’s orthopaedic surgery within the same week, if your doctor thinks surgery is necessary. The same experienced team that takes care of families at our main hospital in Nashville performs your child’s surgery in Murfreesboro.
