Pediatric Food Allergies
The Pediatric Food Allergies program at Monroe Carell provides expert help in diagnosing and treating food allergies in children, teens and young adults. As food allergies in children have become more common, our program is here to help your child and family manage allergic reactions to food and food products. We provide education, nutritional counseling, innovative treatments and guidance in choosing appropriate medications.
Our oral immunotherapy (OIT) for peanut allergy and food challenges provide the latest treatments, with care plans tailored to each child.
The program also allows some patients to participate in research studies related to food allergy.

- Innovative treatments
Our food allergy treatments include oral immunotherapy (OIT) for peanut allergy. We can help your child build tolerance to peanut over time which can help lessen reactions to accidental exposure. We currently use the only FDA-approved OIT for peanut allergy, which is approved for children ages 4 to 17.
